I’m assuming you no longer need an answer, but I will respond in case someone else comes along with the same question.

As luck would have it, I did not think to look at the online preview, I just trusted the one in the software. (Why would there be a difference anyway, right??) I just received my journal yesterday, and the image background of all the images I placed on lined pages came out black. I am so disappointed. I sent a message to support and I was told that the book was printed the way I designed it. My question, “What needs to be done to avoid this?” was not answered.

I don’t know how to avoid the black filling, but I will continue searching in the forums. I’m sure there’s an answer.
