LightRoom 4 vs Lightroom 3 & BookSmart
Is there any difference between BookSmart running on LR3 or on LR4 Beta? If so, what are they?

Yes, with booksmart you can design a page yourself. In the lightroom version (or maybe it’s just the beta) you cannot. I really miss that feature.

I am really hoping that when the full version comes out they will let you design a page yourself and also add borders to the photos. The Lightroom 4 concept is a great idea…..it just needs a bit more work on it.

I just finished playing with Lightroom 4 beta and the blurb app in it. I agree that it lacks the flexibility I like with Booksmart and the Lightroom 3 plug-in. It makes me want to wait for an more flexible app in future Lightroom editions and stick with Lightroom 3 and the plug-in, although I do light the soft proofing available in Lightroom 4. It would be nice if Lightroom could add soft proofing the CYMK color space for the images used in a blurb book. I think that option is available in Photoshop CS5.
