Back Cover - can't change layout to a picture page?

I like my front cover as is with a large picture on the bottom and the title and author above that. But choosing that as the front cover I am not allowed to have a photo on the back cover. Unless I also change the front cover to a layout I dont’ like.

 So I assume there is no way to individually choose a different layout for the back cover only? Independently of the front cover? I’d like to be able to choose a layout from the "photo layouts" options.

Pretty sure I can’t though, just wanted to verify. :(

Hello BlackDoll;

In general, the cover options are fixed – you have to take the whole wrap-around package… you can’t replace one of the elements alone…

However, there are ways around this – you just need to be creative with what you’re using…

For example, assuming a 10×8 book, you could select the 4th option down the pop-up list… drag your image to the bottom part of the layout, and then leave the title bars clear… then you get to place an image on the back page as well… and add script if you want… You can move & re-size images within an image container almost infinitely…

If none of the pre-packaged designs work for you, then you can always prepare the front and back pages in PhotoShop, and import them as full bleed images onto the same option, and just ignore the script containers…

Hope that helps;

Cheers;

Lee
