blank spine on dust coverWe had one copy of our book printed to use as a proof copy. The spine of the dust cover is blank (white). According to the software documentation online, the title should automatically appear there. Our title is not particularly long, and it is in the color red on our cover layout. Does anyone know how to get the title to print on the spine? We would like a printed spine for the book we present to our father for his 80th birthday. Thank you for any help you can offer.

With the soft cover book I did it states (I cant remember where) that if the page count is less than 80 pages then no text will be printed on the spine even if there is text on the spine in booksmart. If you have more than 80 pages or more then check the spine in booksmart – if the text is there it should print. If there is no text on the spine you will need to edit it to add the text. I had the same thing occur on my hardcover dust sleeve. I would be interested to hear what Blurb had say about this one.

Hello Sally, Paul and MIBoris, From your posts it is difficult to say what might have happened. If this turns out to be a software error, we will make good on your finished book. This is always best taken care of by entering a Customer Support Form and someone from Blurb will be in contact with you in one business day. -Ben Senior Technical Support Specialist
