Hello Judith; Presumably you discovered that BookSmart does NOT like "Rich Text"... BookSmart is NOT a word-processor, although I understand that Blurb continue to work on the text engine to improve handling & functionality… Meanwhile, you do NOT have to type everything twice! You can still import your Word text, but you need to do so in "Plain Text" format. You can do that either by simply "Copy"ing your script in Word, then use "Paste Plain Text" [Ctrl-Shift-V] in BookSmart. That will strip out all the Word formatting that BookSmart doesn’t like… Or, you can dump the text into WordPad, make minor formatting changes in there, and then copy & paste into BookSmart… Apart from that, I doubt you will find much support for your "preference" that Blurb concentrate on text handling over image handling… Image handling is what most of us want, and there’s still a long way to go on that front… Anyhow, i hope to have helped… Cheers; Lee
