Great Product - Font query

The new BookSmart is great. Lots more options and faster to use in many ways.

I use a Mac and 200 pages with 240+ pics went smooth as silk.

One question, I wanted to use the same caption font throughout. Sometimes I got 13 point and sometimes 9. How do you make the font and size consistent without have to set every page. I think I did it accidentally, at least the font, but I am not sure how I did it!!

Hi Tim;

The "THEORY" is that for each BookSmart session, on first text entry, when you select the Font, Point Size, Colour & Attributes (Bold, Underline etc.) from the Text Toolbar, BookSmart is "SUPPOSED" to remember what settings you have !!!!

Now for the practice – at least for my version of BookSmart (latest)... this is a continuing bug…!

I have to set the parameters for EACH & EVERY text container that I use… and it’s a pain in the proverbial…

Sorry I can’t be of more help; but you can help the cause by filing a bug report with Blurb here… I know they know about it – but he more users that complain – the better the chance of getting it fixed!

Thanks for pulling that punch, Lee. I’m not sure how proverbial that pain is, actually, and I wouldn’t have blamed you if you’d typed the "a" word…

The good news is that the next version of BookSmart will contain significantly enhanced text formatting options… Can’t spill any more details, but working with text in BookSmart should be much more enjoyable when 1.9.6 is released sometime in the coming months…
