BookSmart

page numbering

Can Blurb automatically add the page number to be printed on each page, or do I have to do that myself?

If I do it myself, how far from the side and bottom should the number be?

BookSmart can add the page numbers for you.

If you click in the footer (or header if you want the page numbers at the top) you will see some options pop up.

Start with the Choose drop down and pick Page Number, then from the Apply To pick All Pages, then click Apply.

BookSmart is prone to "forget" you asked for a page number on every page and sometimes doesn’t put one when you add a new page. It would be too frustrating to fix this each time it happens,  so leave it until you have finished the book then repeat the above on any page, it will go through the book again correctly numbering all the pages.

I’m afraid that I can’t find what you refer to as a footer or header. Clicking anywhere at the bottom or top of the page does not bring up any option windows.

I am using the Mac version of BookSmart.
