I’ve just started using Blurb and have had no software issues with Vista 64 bit.

Hi, I have an issue with Vista 64bit. Booksmart crashes regulary. I installed the software on another Vista 32 bit machine where the same book/booksmart version works perfectly. No reaction from the Blurb support team yet, despite logging the issue. Let’s wait.

I just asked about this and was told that they don’t support 64 bit Vista.  They suggested I use another PC using 32 bit Vista or XP.  I responded that I was not willing to downgrade my OS to suit Blurb and that I would, if necessary, find another publisher.

I upgraded to the new 1.9.9 and am experiencing many crashes and ridiculously slow editing times. My book is only 52 pages.

I am on Vista 64 bit but I was on it when using the old version and had no problems at all.

I have not seen any positive answers for curing the problems.  I sure wish I could get my book back into the previous software version so I could revert to the old BookSmart.

I sure hope Microsoft has not bought ot Blurb!

If Microsoft HAD bought Blurb, Booksmart certainly would support 64 bit Vista!

I’m looking for a new publisher, since Blurb has no intention of anouncing a date when they will support this OS and they think the best solution I find another PC running XP to use.

Hey Blurb… let me know when you have something for me to use… until then, we’ll be spending our money elsewhere.
