HELP!!!! 393.5MB OF BOOK TO UPLOADI have no idea if this is the right size or what for 310 pages but after uploading it for hours it stopped about half way through saying that my internet connection needed checking and that I lost connection with the host. I have turned off my firewalls and my book is being uploaded again but will it affect the quality because I have had to try and upload it twice?

Hello Rosie1; Just to confirm; as frustrating as this issue is, there is no reason why quality should be affected by a failed upload… There have been many reports of this issue, so… Blurb staff – suggestion – why don’t you provide an FTP style "resume" facility on a failed connection during upload! Cheers; Lee

I can’t upload either. I’ve tried all of the suggestions. I don’t know what to do. I’ve got a timeline and my family is waiting for this! Lisa

I’m just now getting familiar with this website. There seems to be nothing that addess this issue of uploading, or burning everything to a CD and mailing it to you. Why is that???

Hello Fellow Blurbarians, There are many different reasons an upload can fail especially if it is large. Regarding these cases I always suggest filling out a Customer Support Form and someone from Blurb will be in contact with you in one business day. Quite often we have to tailor the solution to the individual case depending on the ISP or even network settings. Sometimes erroneous pictures can also stall an upload. If the upload keeps stalling out in the same location, one technique is to create a new page and copy all the material from the page that is stalling the upload and then deleting the old page. When writing in to customer support it is quite helpful to include all the details you might have and whatever steps you have taken currently. This way we can get to the solution faster by avoiding some initial questions. -Ben Senior Technical Support Specialist

I agree, providing a ftp or web upload option would be very nice since the upload feature in booksmart doesn’t work well. I’ve been trying to upload a single book 26 pages for hours and it doesn’t work

For those who thought FTP or web upload suggestion, IT IS best IF some of you contact Blurb contact form regarding feature improvement request or suggestion. Hope that helps.
