BookSmart

Full screen image template with text on bottom

Hi

I’ve been working a few days on my photography book and just cannot figure this out. I want to have a full screen image page (like the 1st one in picture layouts) but with added text on the bottom.

I can use the 3rd template but then theres a border!! I’ve tried using the 21st template but because of the wasted space on the top, the image gets cropped a lot.

Please help!

As I understand it, we are limited by the templates that BookSmart provides.  The only approach that I know of that might help you would be to use your favourite photoediting software to add text to the photo, before you upload it.

ourRTW: I’m no expert, but I think some BookSmart layouts vary from one book size to another. It might help if you mention which size you are talking about?

David, I note that you claim "...a 7×7 book Blurb uses a different printer…" And you repeat it.

I don’t think so.

Thanks for the update—something new starting Sept. of 2008.

There is a format like what you want, but it is hiding in quotation layouts. It is a full bleed picture with a large text box, although the text box is not quite as large as the one with borders but not a lot smaller.

Thanks Annette

The only full bleed template layout is one with two columns… Are you talking about that one?
