Can you suppot traditional Chinese(Big5)

Hi,

Can you print in different language, like Chinese or Japanese. I can see Chinese when I use the tool, but I am not sure whether you can print it right.

Hello Yohowo,

If you can see it in BookSmart then it should be able to print correctly. The only thing I am concerned about would be text flows since Chinese I believe is read from top to bottom and then left to right.

It is always best to make a proof copy, especially if this is to be a large run of books.

Thanks for replying.

In Taiwan, we use both horizontal and vertical writing. However, my friends from China say now they only use horizontal writing like English. So, your concern is not a problem.

If anyone else has trouble pasting Chinese into their books, Ben says:

“The safest way to transfer double-byte characters is by right clicking in a text box selecting the Paste Plain Text command. “

Or on a Mac, Command-click to bring up the menu, then select Paste Plain Text.

Works perfectly.
