New Computer - What to do!?!?!

I’m getting a new computer in 2 weeks and will have to transfer everything from my existing computer.  What is the best way to save an unfinished Book so that i dont lose anything???

Thank you!

You’ll want to use the “Export” feature. Then you’ll be able to use “Import” once you have your new computer.

What kind of computer and system architecture is your new computer? And your old computer’s OS as well?

Do you happen to have an external hard drive used as a back up, no?

Seems like you could transfer the files to a portable USB ‘thumb’ drive?

This does make me wonder.  Why can’t one just copy the entire BooksmartData folder to another storage medium?  Why is it necessary to export?  There must be some sort of difference and it would be nice to understand what it is.

Okay – so i just opened my project and went to File/Backup – Export and Booksmart just closed completely.  What am I doing wrong?  I guess I’m just not that computer savvy…. ahhh!
