BookSmart

Cover photo

Can anyone please help with my dilemma?  Every time I insert a photo on the font cover, I get that little icon telling me that the resolution image is too low. This is not the case. So what can I do to correct it?

Malcom,

I would trust that warning sign, I think there has to be an issue with your photo.

I’m not sure how much you know (so forgive me if my guess is wrong)   but just having the photo at 300 dpi is not always enough, you have to allow for any resizing that BookSmart does.If your photo is 300dpi my guess is that BookSmart is enlarging it to fill the container and thus reducing the dpi. Hover your mouse over the image container on your cover and you’ll get a pop-up of the ideal dimensions. Make a note of the pxel dimensions there and compare with those of your photo.

There is a good explanation of all this in a post by Lee, a regular in the forums…....
