Your book files, custom layouts, assets (images), etc. are not uploaded. So you might be SOL.

Do you still have the old computer? There are two ways to get the data off the old hard drive.

The first involves removing the hard drive and placing it in the freezer in a ziplock or plastic bag for a couple hours. if that works, quickly transfer your booksmart folder over to a usb key. if you don’t know how to do this yourself, bring it to big box store that repairs PCs.

The other involves sending the drive to data recovery specialists, that would cost a bundle.

I’m assuming it’s the HDD that crashed. Anything else, powersupply, can easily be repaired and you can fire her up again.
