Version 2.9 Keeps Quitting

Version 2.9 keeps quitting every 10 pages or so while doing minor formatting edits (i.e., mainly adding spaces).  Also, autosave does not seem to be saving my edits.  Frustrating, particularly since Version 2.8 never quit once while developing and editing the same 194 page text book.  I’m using Windows XP Pro.  I’ll be interested to see if others are continuing to have performance problems with 2.9 and whether it might be best to wait for a new release.

I am having a real problem adding blank pages. I followed the instructions and it worked fine at first. Then I discovered that I need one more page and cannot add it. I was instructed to be sure that I did not have  a locked spread. I do not. Can anyone advice me on this?

I am aware that I cannot add a page after the end page or at the beginning. Like I said I have done this successfully once and since then nothing.

I’d strongly advise AGAINST using this new version. Stick with the old one till this one is trashed and fixed.

I’m on a Mac OS 10.6.4. Downloaded the new version and started another photo book. Worked OK first day, then crashed repeatedly on the next day. Customer Support sent me to a third party site to download and reinstall it again. This worked fine for a day, then in the next three days, it has crashed 23 times. I’ve sent them my error log and error report and my case has been referred to “tech specialists”.
