BookSmart

Locked each drag of a photo takes two minutes.

Hi. Im loving the idea of blurb, but painfully slow.

It takes over two minutes per photo drag (i used a stopwatch). I am working on a MAC OS 10.5.8 with 4 gig of RAM and a dual core 3.7 intel.

I have never had a problem with software before.

Here, if i delete a photo, drag a photo, do anything to a photo, it takes about 2 minutes and 16 seconds for anything to happen. My photos are all jpeg, 300dpi, black and white and averaging 2MB each.

Any suggestions?

Cheers
:)

The Mac Software is awful. It crashed ~100 times while I worked on an 80 page book and would randomly just get super slow, freeze, etc. I’m running the latest Mac OS (10.6.4) on a brand new quad-core Mac Pro. Their software just stinks.

I have been having painfully slow bookmaking issues while on MAC. It’s fine on the PC, but as previous posts have mentioned, every photo takes minutes to move. It’s virtually useless. Is there any plan to address this? I’m afraid since I got the MAC I won’t be making books anymore because I give up in frustration each time.

Thanks!

Hi kcalden,

There are not any known performance issues with MAC systems running BookSmart. To see if this may be an isolated problem with your computer please contact support for help.
