JPEG 2000
Does Booksmart accept JPEG 2000 (JPC, JP2) file formats? I’m worried about image quality after exporting my TIFF images to JPEG file format. I understand that image loss is minimal when using least compression and I’m only concerned because the photos I’m using are poor quality to begin with (very old, scanned black and whites). I’ve read that JPEG 2000 is a file format with lossless compression. Was hoping someone could help me out. Thanks, Marissa

Not many suppot JPEG 2000. I can tell you though, that as long as you have your image at a resolution of 300 ppi and save it as a JPEG at quality setting of 10 you should be fine. This is the requirements used by all the labs that I use for prints. It should be fine for Blurb as well.
