ID CS5 color shift when export to PDF Using Blurb TemplateI am working on a photography book. All the page backgrounds are black, and appear as solid blackwhile working within ID CS5. The iamges appear correct as well. When I export a BW photography book inm ID CS5 using the Blurb Template: Blurb PDF X-3 to a PDF file, all my blacks have shifted to gray, and all the BW iamges have shifted acordingly in the newly created PDF file. I ca seem to find no apeparntly reason for the color shift fro mthe CS5 to Acrobat. Printing the PDF file also yeids the sme result of all the black backgrounds and images becoming muddied.

Seriously, no one has any idea why a book with black apges, turns gray once saved to PDF?

Hi ajlordnikon, This appears to be a unique color management issue, that your particular set-up is producing. It would be best if you contacted us and provide as many details as possible, such as image color-space, the exact color of your black background etc. Trying to diagnose specific issues throught the forum only leads to slower resolution and more confusion for others. Thanks!

I too have the same issue.. Indesign is setup with the correct color space and when I preview using the Blurb.icc profile – black backgrounds turn gray -this also occurs when I export the PDF and view it outside of Indesign. When I shift the background to "registration", then the blacks get a bit blacker but not fully black (registrtation also messes up my text that is in front of it).. thoughts?
