PDF to Book

Requirements InDesign-PDF - Please HELP !!!

I will export my book from InDesign…
- Do I choose “single pages” or “side by side pages” ?
- Can I import RGB photos or must be CMYK photos?
- Exporting my PDF, do I have make it with bleed and trim marks?

Use the Export Setting Preset file that comes in the InDesign templates download.

I use sRGB, they say that works OK in the PDF to Book Publishing Guide (be sure to read it ! )

The bleed and trim marks don’t show on the finished PDF.

You have to turn your PDFs into the PDF/X-3 format.

What do you do if you are NOT using the template? Does blurb provide the PDF-X3 settings so I can check and see if I have set it up correctly?

I’m curious about this too – I have an ancient version of InDesign, so I set up my own template. How do I apply/use the settings file I downloaded from Blurb?
