A better preview of the book than the bookstoreI just published my book and wans’t too happy about the preview mode offered by Blurb in the bookstore. A friend of mine has done a slideshow of a shortened version with a "book effect" Telll me what you think about it.

it looks very sexy. | |

damn, this looks good !!!! and it’ s exactly what I wanted to do based on the fact that my first 15 pages are NOT representative of the 130 following ones (black and white where once after page 15 colours start coming in) Would you mind sharing how this was done. I have downloaded some free software to make flippable previews but unfotunately the .book extension does not allow for a good results pleaaaaazeee….

WOW! Great preview. Pictures are astounding!
|
Great!! Can you share who your friend did it?
|
*Sorry no who but how!!!

That is one of the best slideshows of a book I have ever seen. Keeping the secret to how your friend did this is like hiding great art in your attic

This effect can be recreated using Flash. It is far superior than the other "page flip" effects I’ve seen to-date. Now I haven’t done this myself, but it looks as though the book pages were saved as images, embedded within HTML and then the Flash code was added.
