Why weren't my blog comments slurped when I slurped my blog?

Technical support said

“Depending on your blog platform, you may not be able to add comments when slurping”

which was not at all helpful. I didn’t even get a box to check that said to slurp comments as well.

BTW, I’m using basic blogger—no upgrades, though it is the newer (non Beta) version of Blogger.

Can anyone help me get my comments uploaded?

I’m having the same problem- and mine’s a LiveJournal. Can comments be slurped on ANY platforms?!

The video demo uses Typepad, so I guess you can get comments slurped from there. Tech Support told me that it won’t slurp from LJ and I’ve read around here that it won’t slurp from Blogger, either. *sigh* That’s the whole reason I jumped to do a blog book—I wanted the comments included. Maybe the’ll work on it (hint, hint)?

It would be nice if comments could be slurped. I also used Blogger. In the end i ended up cutting and pasting a year’s worth of comments for our book. It turned out nice, and am really glad I did it but it took a LOT of time.

Why weren't my blog comments slurped when I slurped my blog? Technical support said “Depending on your blog platform, you may not be able to add comments when slurping” which was not at all helpful. I didn’t even get a box to check that said to slurp comments as well. BTW, I’m using basic blogger—no upgrades, though it is the newer (non Beta) version of Blogger.
