Paragraph Spacing

I’m unable to control the huge gap between paragraphs for "1 – Single Spacing". If I cut and paste different ways its possible get rid of that huge gap. Even when I preview I can see differences between some paragraphs and not others.

Anyone know how to minimize that space? I’ only using the Calibri 12 font but I need to put way more text on one page than its letting me.

I’ve played around with the Text Layouts and it doesn’t do anything either.

Thanks in advance,

Mark

I was having the same issues when I cut & paste lots of text from Microsoft Word.  It was driving me bananas—huge spaces between paragraphs like you said.  I finally fixed it by highlighting all my text in Word (not blurb) and changing the paragraph settings (Format > Paragraph . . . >).  Rather than have the line spacing before and after the paragraph at "auto," I changed it to "0 pt." on both.  The text didn’t look much different in Word, but when I cut & pasted it into Blurb, the problem was solved!  I hope that helps.

I am having a similar problem cut and paste my text from MSWord onto Booksmart pages.   The indentation is messed up on the top of each new page.   Booksmart automatically is indenting the top line of each page as if it were a new paragraph.   And it won’t let me edit the top line to fix it.    Please help?!

thanks,
James

James;

BookSmart can’t handle formatted Word text at all well…

Re-import (copy & paste) the script using the "Paste As"  "Plain Text" option, and then use BookSmart’s own (limited) text formatting functions..

We are promised a far better text handling engine in the next release… due "late summer"...

Cheers;

Lee
