Where would you advertise a photo book on artistic nude photography?
I have my first book online and I am aware that, simply by having it lie on a Blurb server, it won’t be sold. Being European, I am accustomed to public nudity and so producing and speaking about a book on artistic nude photography is nothing I am embarrassed about. I am under the impression though that Americans have more problems with that. I was looking into online classifieds to be able to let people know about my book. However, many websites explicitly don’t allow any "adult" content to be advertised. Why ? Where would you suggest to put ads for my book online, for the US market? Do you other people only make books for friends and relatives, or to you also try to sell to "unknown" people? How/where do you advertise in such a case?
