proof colors + simulate paper = fuzzy blacks
Hi! I am using an apple 17" powerbook scren calibrated + photoshop cs3 to design my photo book. My pictures come from medium format 6×6 slides scanned with an epson 4990 scanner. I have loaded de hp indigo ICC profile to PS CS3, and everything looks almost great whan I activate proof colors, 
but if I do activate simulate paper color , my blacks turn almost grey and everythiglooks quite fuzzy , it´s like washed, loosing a lot fo contrast. 
Am I doing something wrong? maybe my images are too light? Should I adjust them? thank you!
