Assign Profile vs. Convert Profile
I "Assigned" the sRGB profile, can I send to Blurb this way, or do I have to redo over 500 photos so they are "Converted" to sRGB? When I go to "convert" the Source Space is listed as sRGB (They were originally Adobe RGB 1998 from the camera).

Unfortunately, you will need to re-do all of those 500 photos.
I am curious, do you happen to use Adobe Photoshop or similar image editing app?
I might want to do some experiments with Photoshop’s scripting to do batch process to convert from Adobe RGB 1998 to sRGB. I will have some opportunity to do so sometime on the weekend.

I advise to use the "image processor" and to use the srvb conversion, moreover the processor is more fficient than a script.

If any new folks are looking at this and gettin ready to convert, DON’T DO IT! You can’t go back without loss. Make copies and convert them. I always make a "book photos" folder and copy there.
