FONT & font size

I’m sure that somewhere there’s a tutorial on how to ‘set’ a font face, but I’m not sure just where.

I want my type in comc sans ms, and every time I start a new page I have to set it again and again.  Where’s the gizmo that lets a person set it once and for all?
