sample page spreads on blurb

I just updated to v1.9 (very cool add ons BTW) and I can’t find the templetes that are shown on the "Sample Page Spreads for Photo Book". I am creating a 11×13 book. Specifically, I am interested in the full bleed 5 image spread. But I’m also interested in the 3/4 full bleed w/ the 2 square images boxes. I know that there is some work around using a full bleed and scaling the image down while pulling the image far to the left or right and having a color or pattern in the background on three sides.

My thoughts are that if Blurb is going to show examples of what books can look like, they might want to let thier customers know how to do it … rather than having them guessing or having then search & search on the forums.

Hey Huckster,

Your feedback points out that we need to do better in labeling our sample spreads. The ones you are referring to were actually taken from a Square 7×7. The collage layout with 5 images is available in the 13×11, but the 2 square images layout is not. While we try to offer as many of the same layouts across book sizes, a lot of these layouts are not one size fits all. What looks good in one book size doesn’t always translate well to another book size.

Look for better labels in our sample spreads coming soon.

We have four collage layouts for 13×11. Under "Apply Page Layout" choose "Picture Layouts" and scroll to the bottom, and there you’ll find four options. Here’s a screenshot in case that helps:

I just found it.

I read your post stating that there were different templetes but I could not find them. BUT … I was building a photo book NOT a wedding book where the 5 image collage templetes are. I’m happy over all just alittle confused why the picture layouts offered in the wedding book are not offered in the other books.

I bounced back and forth and there really is not anything that I am loosing with the other books while the wedding book actually gives me more opions for layouts.
