I want to publish my own novel!
I need help, ive been looking everywhere to find a good self publishing site, but every one ive been to it seems that there is a minimum order of about 200 books! I dont need that many, i only want like 5 to 10 maybe so that i can share my passion for writing with my family and friends. Pluss it would be really nice to have a copy for myself. This looks like the best site i’ve found so far, but will it really help me get my novel off my computer and onto paper? I would like it to be about 6" by 9"... or so… you know, novel sided. But im not sure if they have that size on here, and the paper they use looks kinda glossy. So.. any feed back. Can Blurb really help me?

snkchrmer, Blurb is a great site if you want as few as one or a few dozen of a self published book. The minimum size is 7×7" or 8×10". No variations from this except you can choose soft cover or hard. They produce superb color printing which seems to be their main focus. The paper is a semi-gloss and despite the complaints from the art community it is a little heavy weight for a novel. I would recommend LuLu as a good site if all text novels are your main interest. I believe their rates for text based novels are lower cost than Blurbs since that was their original product. They also have a bookstore concept to market your novel somewhat like Blurb. Just Google Lulu. Good luck , Len

Thanks, i know about lulu.com, ive visited there too. The only thing about that is i dont have $500 spare just to get one of their starter packages, not even the cost ontop of that for the books. So i was hoping to find something that wouldnt have me digging into my pocket book just to to end up getting about five books or so.

snkchrmer, You are quoting a price from one of their services that provide professional help including asigning an ISBN # to your book. Individual books can be published for less than $10. Check out the site out in more detail or give them a call or contact directly. I am quite certain there is no $500 up front cost to get started.
