featured book question

Hm…not too sure if this is a technical issue or not…I was just wondering how "featured books" are decided….who exactly picks the books to be featured or are the featured books like the featured entre at a restaurant….just a randomly chosen item picked for no apparent reason.

thanks,

alex

I was curious about this too. Is it based on sales or does someone there at Blurb see something and think, "Oo! Cool!" and it becomes featured?

Hi guys.  Way back when the blog first started, we explained the Book of the Week process. It applies to our featured books as well. We look for innovative use of BookSmart, uniqueness of subject matter, diverse representation of our bookstore categories, and quality. We spend the week looking at every new title in the Blurb Bookstore, and we select from that pool. We then run our new featured books on most Wednesdays. It’s absolutely one of our favorite parts of the job. -Allison

Just make sure your book is public in the Blurb Bookstore and has the preview turned on, and we’ll see it.
