First Book
Well I have to say I was a little worried when I sent my first book in whether the quality would be good enough or not after reading some of the posts here on the forum. Also about delivery costs. I was a little concerned you couldnt find out how much it was going to be until checkout! Turned out quite reasonable.Luckily I have just moved to the States to live 4 mths ago fom Australia too otherwise I would have been up for way more in postage back to Australia! Nether the less I sent my book in & paid the extra to get the next day shipping. Great I thought – 2 weeks I’ll have it back. Checked the tracking order religiously & from uploading my book on the Wednesday to receiving it in the mail the following Monday I would have to say I was very impressed! Then to open the book I was even happier.The layouts were truly amazing quality. Full bleed pages my favourites. Would like to in future be able to add my own whole frontcover without having to use just the Blurb formats. I found that they didnt offer enough variety so I did my book all in Photoshop, saved as Jpeg & inserted as full bleed pages. This seemed to work the best for me to have a variety of layouts in my book & mainly better text options. Does anyone know if there is someway that you can add a full page bleed to your front cover? I had a couple of great photos I would have loved as a full front cover so for next time it would be handy to know. I have made photo books before with other companies but would have to say I will only be recommending BLURB. I have made my second book & I am awaiting delivery to see the final product (Very eager for this one to arrive too as heading home & would love to show all the family our new home!!) it’s due Tuesday so my fingers are crossed as we are flying out Wednesday!! We are also off to Hawaii in October too & I am already thinking of my 3rd book….this could become addicitive! I guess there could be worse addictions!! Thanks Blurb team, you do an amazing job!!!
