Why does the forum posting timeout have to be so short?
Frequently when people ask a complicated question, it takes a detailed answer. Posting helpful answers to this forum can be very frustrating and redundant. When I go to the blurb website, apparently via cookies, blurb knows it’s me. My private and public books show up as well as my avatar. I go to a forum, and click reply to a message, then I have to log in. If Blurb knows it’s me why do I need to log in again. I could live with that, but it seems redundant. Now I try to type a thoughtful answer to someone’s question that takes a while to write in an understandable fashion. I click post and it takes me to the log in page again. After I log in a second time, I’m transferred to a forum page that’s titled "All Posts" with a seemingly random collection of posts. So now I have to go back to the help menu and select forums, the correct forum and the correct thread. Lo and behold the answer I just spent 20 minutes writing is nowhere to be seen. Fortunately, I’ve learned to copy my post into the clipboard before clicking the post button. So now I have to reply to the message again, paste the previously copied text, and post again. I ask, "Why must this be so difficult?" Mike
