STAFF PICKS question

O.K. here it is…what is the criteria for the picking of STAFF PICKS in the BOOKSTORE?

Sorry to sound picky, but I find your "staff picks" to be very strange in the light of what your FAQ says.

Some (many?) don’t even have descriptions of what the books are supposed to be about. It would appear that the staff are picking based on the cover, not the content. Indeed, before I read the FAQ I imaged the "staff picks" were just randomly selected by your system, without any human looking at them.
