anyway convert psd to jpg without photoshop

I received several psd images files I want to use in my book, but I dont have photoshop software.  Is there any free software available that lets me convert the psd files to jpg and to the 300 dpi requirement for blurb?

Try GIMP or Picasa. Just Google those names.

Hello helenproject;

Check-out;

http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/downloads/Batch_PSD_to_JPG_50869_p/

There are many PSD to JPG conversion tools available on the web. If you don’t like this one, just Google "Free PSD to JPG conversion" and you’ll get a multitude of results…

You could also download a free trial of Photoshop from Adobe and give that a try if you only need to use the software for a limited time.

You didn’t state what OS you are running but if you are using Mac OS X, just use the built-in default image viewer, Preview. Open the psd file then "Save as" and select JPEG. Pixel dimensions will not change.
