Background pictures

Can someone tell me if it’s possible to have different background pictures on different pages? I can’t find how to do this if it’s possible.

I often layer pictures to create backgrounds. One of my favorite backgrounds is to create an gradient color background In MS Publisher. Opening a text box, I fill the box with a 2 color gradient. I may start with a light blue at the top and gradient to a dark blue at the bottom. I right click to save as a .jpg image.  In Booksmart, you can overlap images. The background image is the .jpg gradient image (sometimes I may need to resize the image in PSP7), making sure the image is the full size of the page (full bleed) and is in the background. I also like using simple black border on all my images in the book to help them stand out.
