Book Copy Smaller Than Original - Why Is This?

Have been designing a book and decided to also save a copy of it. Is there a reason the original is larger (ie: 67MB) and the copy is smaller? (58MB)

Have also noticed that if you save another copy, it is smaller than the other two again. In this case,
51MB.
