Wrapping text around photos

Is it possible to wrap text around photos without having to create separate text boxes? It’s quite a long-winded and tricky way of doing things that way.

Thanks

I don’t think so. I’ve never stumbled across a feature like this.

You probably have to create a pg in a graphic program & add it to your book as a full pg bleed.

Long-winded is an understatement….You’re not kidding!!  It sure would be really a useful tool if it was possible to have it in Booksmart.

can’t do it in book (not so) smart.  the only way is to work your text in an outside program like PS and then import the photo/text back to your layout.

the text editing features in BS are minimal at best.

Usually putting together a layout for a printed document would be completed in a desktop publishing package such as Adobe InDesign, however for some smaller projects like a single page article it is sometimes quicker to produce it right inside Illustrator to save switching back and forwards between applications. Using the Text Wrap feature within Adobe Illustrator you can quickly and easily format your text to harmonise with your photographs and images.

Adobe InDesign $699

Adobe Illustrator $599

If you are not a professional and have just a few pages to design with text wrap go for GIMP (it’s free) or Adobe Photoshop Elements ($89.99).
