"Unable to read picture" errorI’m trying to order a book I just finished making, and I got an error message saying "unable to read picture" and the file name. I didn’t successfully upload or even use that photo in the book, but BookSmart is saying I can’t place an order until it is deleted. Has anyone had this experience or know what to do? Thanks.

Hello Melanie; I don’t recall seeing any mention of this error message before… Have you tried searching your system for the offending file? BookSmart does NOT link to files, so it MUST be in the BookSmart directory somewhere; that’s the place to start. If you’re a Windoze user, your book file will be here; C:\Documents and Settings\[User_Name]\My Documents\BookSmartData\[Book_Name] Search for the file, and move it to a holding folder somewhere; then try your upload again… If problems persist, you can contact Blurb Tech Support here… Good luck; Lee |
