Book Design and Imaging

Removing borders from a text page with no pictures.

I am preparing a Blurb book with lots of text and some pictures. I chose a border for my pictures and checked the square to have the border applied to all pictures in the book. Most of my text pages now have a border as well and I can find no way to remove them.

Hi Racer,

It sounds like you turned on the border options for all pages. Click on an image with a border, and then click the borderless option (with the red slash through it). Now click the "Apply to all images" option. Finally, go back to the images where you want the border, and select the border you’d like (and be sure the "apply to all" option is not selected).

Thank you kindly for responding in a timely manner. Your method required me to do this several times before all pages, including my text pages, were free of borders. I have two more questions I could not find answers for in my search of the Forum.

1) Can I lock a photo to the photo caption on one page without locking every page in the book?

2) I previewed the ten books picked by the staff. The text in some looked weak, it seemed one letter was darker than another throughout the book. Then I found the book ‘The View Project’ edited by Joyce Tenneson and the printed text was perfect. Was it the font used or method of producing the page, such as designing it in Adobe Photoshop and saving it as a .jpeg and dragging it to the blurb page?
