Page dimensionsCan you clarify what is the difference between the values in brackets and those not in brackets on this page: http://www.blurb.co.uk/create/book/dimensions And why are you mixing units? Some are given in cm, some in inches… Thanks. (And I’m having REAL trouble with your spam-catching bit at the end of this forum-entry: the words are TOO distorted!)

I can’t see anywhere they are "mixing" units. All dimensions are given in both imperial (inches) and in metric (cm), the latter are the dimensions in the brackets. Both need to be given as the US is now one of the few countries in the world that have not adopted the metric system. I also have trouble with the CAPTCHA. One thing I can recommend is do NOT even try the option of having the clue read out loud, that is even harder than the visual clue. I tend to repeatedly select the top button to show an alternative clue until I find one that is easier to decode. …..Tony

Hi Tony, Thanks for replying to my query. I’m still a little bit confused though. You say that the top set of values given are in inches whereas the ones in brackets, underneath, are in cm. That does make sense to me except I can still see many places where they have mixed the units, hence my initial confusion. For example, the trimmed pages of 8 × 10 books is given as 7.88 × 24.77 cm (20.00 × 24.77 cm). I’m guessing the first set of values should actually be 7.88 inch x 9.75 inch. There are lots of examples like this. However, now I know what their intentions were, I can at least try to make sense of the values that they have given, even though it contains what are now obvious typos! Thanks, Sally
