Are Australian dust jackets as good as the US ones?
When Blurb began operations in Australia, almost a year ago, there were considerable quality control issues. There are several threads about this in this forum, now locked, a couple of which I started. The last few books I’ve received from the Australian plant have been as good as the US plant, and (fingers crossed) I think they’ve finally got their act together. (I’m wary about saying this though, as I said it once before, and several disasters ensued.) The Australian dust jackets have been printed on thinner paper that curls up, and are not the same quality as the US ones. So every book I’ve made in recent months has been image wrap. I’d really like to go back to dust jackets, as I prefer them, but I’d like to know whether they are still inferior quality, or whether they are now up to the US plant’s standard. I know one or two people in Australia who also use Blurb, but they only order soft covers so they are unable to help me. So, if some nice person at Blurb could give me a straight answer, I’d be really grateful.

Four months on, it looks like I’m not going to get a response. A pity, as I’d really like to order some books with dust jackets.
