Book Printing

Hardcover Color?

What is the color of the hardcover? Both the outside and inside surfaces?

I want my "title" page (the first right hand page following the hardcover) to be blank but matching the color of the inside surface of the hardcover.

Amazed I can’t find that info on Blurb site or by searching forums.

For a hardcover book you have:
1) the glossy cover sheet that wraps around the book
2) the book cover itself is black, kinda like a linen canvas in texture. Nothing is printed onto this black cover.
3) inside the black book covering is white end papers glued to the inside front and back
4) white pages (one at the head of the book, and one at the end) these are loose, like other regular pages
5) then comes your first page as seen in the BookSmart software

hope that helps

Again option to emboss the hardcover would be fantastic.  Other options for hardcover would be welcome.

you can take books to printers to be embossed. It would mean you can keep the plates for later books whereas Blurb would probably throw them out.
