Pleased with Large Format 188 page book
Today, I received my 188 page large format book of my trip to Thailand and Cambodia.
It was printed in the US, and so far the binding seems sound. There is a page in the middle where this a large amount of glue visible, but I think I should be able to carefully cut it out using a razor blade. The binding is a combination of sewn and glued.
The printing is decent enough. The pictures have lost a bit of their contrast and pop, but not much more than I had expected. I don’t notice any color casts either in the interior or on the cover.
It took 2 weeks to arrive from upload, but all in all a good experience. This is my second book printed from Blurb. The print and paper quality is less than that which I have gotten from another publisher, but the price is considerably better.
Because I designed each page individually in Photoshop, this book represents 2 months of work, and I am glad it turned out as well as it did.
I’ll just keep my fingers crossed that the pages remain intact.
