Who created Blurb.com website & software? It's fantastic!
I am a web services developer and buyer. I have had a really nice time using the blurb.com website, and the booksmart application. I spend a lot of time building, analyzing and “feeling out” websites (including Shutterfly, PhotoWorks, Viovio, iPhoto/apple et al), and for a pretty good number of reasons I found Blurb amazingly transparent, straight forward, and as concerns the competition, superior.
I know that many times this information is privileged, but… I would love to know the agency (ies) or person(s) responsible for the creation of blurb.com. It is really an exceptional use of technology.
In any case, “Thanks Blurb! I cannot wait to get my first books!”

I’d post the contact info – readily available on the web via Google – but they’d probably remove my post like they did the last time.

Thanks for the kind words Gabe, it feels good to hear about someone enjoying our work.
The Blurb Website and software is all done by Blurb employees, in-house.

Actually as a Java developer myself, I find the user interface clunky and slow. For example, the fact that you can’t set a font preference or page template globally (at least, not that I’m aware of!), is a real flaw. That being said, I am happy to use it as it does offer a lot of flexibility. It’s pretty easy to get up and running, so that’s good. I know that printing on demand is a really new phenomenon (just a few years ago it wasn’t even possible for individuals to print books affordably.) So as the industry matures, I expect things will improve. Also the fact that it is designed in house allows for Blurb to constantly improve their product without depending on some external organization.

I really like the blurb site, but it takes ages to load on my pc - I do have pretty decent pc specs and I’m on broadband, but some pages I even have to refresh to get loaded. Not had this happen before on other sites. Maybe it’s just because you are so popular and have a lot of traffic! I do really like the book software, it’s easy to use and flexible. Although I’m used to using a software from a digital wedding album supplier here in the uk (they do more expensive wedding albums) and it has lots of extra features, which I do miss. Perhaps you should download their software, it might give you a couple of ideas ;) You have a great product though. :)

Curious, what kind of WIndows version are you running on your PC? When you say you have old computer, how old is it? What is your RAM memory size? How big is your hard drive?
