Blurb in the Netherlands??
Googleling "Blurb" I found a site that mentioned that Blurb would come available in the Netherlands, connected to Flickr. That was a posting from 7 months ago. I can’t find anything anymore though and Flickr is not my site of choice to work with anyhow. What I would like to know is whether there is a Dutch company working with or franchising Blurb??? That would make a lot of things easier, quicker and cheaper for me? Frances

Hi fschling – We are working with several companies across Europe – but we don’t have any franchises or localized versions of our service yet. As far as using our service, you’re able to do that now – BookSmart can handle nearly every language in the world. Plus, a few months ago, we added some newer, less expensive shipping options for most of Europe.

Hello Frances, I live in the Netherlands and am using the blurb publishing service. A few weeks a uploaded my book (hardcover, 148 pages, 7" x 7") on a Tuesday evening. It was finished the monday after and delivered the next day. So: it is easy, it is fast, but not really cheaper. Shippingcosts are pretty high for a local delivery… Fred

Mijn boeken komen met UPS uit Eindhoven. Dat staat gewoon op de mails of links van Blurb. ’s Morgens om b.v. 5 uur verzonden en om 11.30 uur staat UPS voor de deur in Amsterdam. gr Dutch

En betaal je daar dan nog wel $8 aan shipping kosten voor?

Zoals ik in mijn eerdere post al zei: de verzendkosten zijn aan de hoge kant! Dat zou beter kunnen, maar ik geen moment spijt van mijn keuze! De kwaliteit van de print is echt goed. Ik heb in divese erichten wel begrepen dat bij grotere boeken (meer dan 150 pagina’s) de bind-kwaliteit niet goed genoeg is. Ik ben echter een tevreden klant! Fred

Hoi, Hoe binden ze de boeken dan, lijmen of met ‘touw’

zelf ook tevreden belgische blurb klant binding liet bij de 2de order te wensen over maar lurb liet meteen nieuwe examplaren drukken print kwaliteit betr dan verwacht en snel, heel snel – voor de "expected ship date" waren de boeken reeds ter plaatse met UPS

hmm nou ik ben benieuwd … heb vrijdag 13 maart mijn boek besteld … 2 zelfs … 1 met UPS en andere met Swiss. Ben benieuwd hoe lang het gaat duren. Ik had een x een blogpost gelezen dat er een printer van Blurb was in Nederland …
