So can you please reply with a link to your website, including

1. Your top 5 tips about how to best sell a book from a website

Tally-Ho!

Kind regards,

Anthony

Here’s my site. http://www.g503.be/

It’s very basic as I’m not skilled at the web thing. I just made links to my blurb bookstore. I’ve also added links to it in profiles of any forum’s I belong to.

I have just got a web domain but not got it up and running yet. I have also started a blog site. On it is the link to my blurb bookstore, the book sales page and the book preview. Then of course there are blogs to bring the people in. Seemed like a good place to start as it is free.

Then as Cripp mentioned I also post in forums and my link to either my book or blog is always in the profile. Currently linking my blog URL to as many blogs, and search sites as I can.

Noticed that my blurb views shot up when I started getting it on the web and my book is moving up the search in google.

see I added the links to the bottom of this message

Anthony,

Here is mine.

www.platteproductions.com/publishing

1) I think it depends on what type you are trying to sell.  I sell book to contributes and to those who have an interest (art book), I promote using other sites like DeviantArt or other related sites.

2) I don’t use the badges and make my own linkback graphics myself so I can have more control over the image and text.  I DO use the bookstore and link to it directly from my site.

3) I would like to have more visual control over my bookstore but understand that they probably want continuity across the site.

I used the blurb badge on my blog johncaz.com and like others have suggested, an e-mail signature with a link is also helpful

This is all really good info. I can get the link to my book easily, (as I only have one at present) but what is my bookstore address. is it blurb.com/blindpoet/bookstore?????

Hi Graham,

http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/772941 is your Bookstore address including your book id at end of web addy. The number "772941" is your book detail number. If you have different book, it has different varient of number for that book.

Hope that helps, no?

Hi Graham,

To show all books you have made with Blurb, in this case, use the web addy here:
http://www.blurb.com/user/blindpoet

Please note that you publish books with Blurb in public, you need to select public in your account setting. Some Blurbarians prefer some of their books in private. Some like to keep their books in public. Also, if you want, you can also select “Preview” for your book(s) that mimics Flash page-turning feature in your Preview book(s).

Hope that helps.

I’ve just put up my first site at www.bengolik.com and included a special ‘Book’ page on it.

This showcases one of my Blurb books – using a series of preview spreads – and links directly through to my Blurb bookstore. Haven’t added it to my blog yet, but that’s definitely my next step.

nice site benjamlee.

think I have given you all my sites. I also did a squidoo lens about what I learned while trying to sell my book – of course it has a link to my book on it – just keep on putting up blogs etc to drive people to my book :-)  http://www.squidoo.com/How-To-Sell-A-Self-Published-Book-For-Free
