A Canadian tired of waiting for fair shipping and "Set Your Price" program

Please BLURB. I have been waiting for lower cost shipping options to Canada for over a year since it was originally mentioned you were working on a solution.

The books are great, but with the current costs to get them here (UPS is the worst choice imaginable), and not being able to use the “Set Your Price” program, my hands are tied and I am forced to look for another more accommodating supplier.

As others have pointed out in this forum, plenty of US companies are able to ship to Canadian customers using USPS, and there are even options out there to sell products from US-based sites without the barrier you employ. I am not entirely sure why it is taking so long for BLURB to catch up with this.

Yes it appears not to be a prioroity to solve this, to me inexplicable, problem. I was excited when I found out about Blurb last spring, but summer is now gone and Christmas is fast apon us and so I am not not very excited at all.

I don’t understand I’ve had 2 books done one Cost about $11. shipping (4 day UPS) and the second 96 pages hard cover 11×13 is going to cost $14. minus an $8.00 new customer cupon seems reasonable to me and the shipping service was actually a day early

I should have been clearer in my original post: My issue is with trying to re-sell books using Blurb. One of the key benefits of a Print-to-Order book service is being able to off-load the order/payment/shipping process to a large company. This is particularily true for a Canadian-based artist, like myself, as the majority of my customers are in the US. Having a block of books sent up to Canada is a costly extra step: I have been charged UPS brokerage fees in two previous orders ($20-$35 each time), and if you factor in the carbon footprint resulting from twice the shipping for each book, it makes the business side of selling my books impractical.

It is extreemly frustrating to have only UPS as the option for shipping to Canada.  I ordered 15 copies of a small 7"x7" book and had to pay shipping plus $35.04 for brokerage fees.  That puts the price of my book up by $2.00 each. That is totally unacceptable.  When will Blurb offer other shipping options?

I hope they can offer USPS or at the very least FedEx as it is such a pain to order into Canada from Blurb.

I agree with jdrouin, please find a solution with USPS for shipping. UPS and Fedex are ripping us…

Please, please, please…
