Ordering and Shipping

UPS to Canada worked for me!

My book was shipped on Nov. 30 (Friday afternoon) and arrived safe and sound in my hands in Toronto on Dec. 4 (Tuesday afternoon). Not only that, but there were no customs charges attached whatsoever.

I just wanted to say thanks for listening to the concerns of my fellow countrymen and women, Blurbians, and for one of the fastest turnarounds I have ever encountered when ordering from the States. I am absolutely thrilled with this venture and I guarantee you that I will be working with you again.

Have a happy and safe holiday season!

Cheers,

Steve Craig, Toronto, Canada

Oh, I forgot to add something rather important to my previous post: this order was shipped via UPS GROUND to Canada. I received it 2 business days after it was shipped and there were no customs charges. Obviously, whatever changes have been made are working out wonderfully.

Glad it worked for you Steve.  My books were sent the same way, UPS ground shipped on December 3 and arrived a few minutes ago, on the 6th.   Shipping time is great.  But I had to pay $19.39 ($20 actually because the driver had no change) in brokerage fees on an order valued at $21.   The original shipping at time of order was $16.15.  So some are getting through but not all.  It really is unacceptable on the part of UPS and I wish Blurb could find another way to ship to Canada.

UPS worked for me as well here on Vancouver Island. I just received my 4th book yesterday and I have never had any extra fees added on. All I do is sign for it and that’s it.

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

A Canadian law firm in Vancouver has initiated a Class Action lawsuit against UPS for their outrageous brokerage fees.  If you have been stung be sure to sign up here:

UPS doesn’t charge brokerage for value under $20, but it starts from there. $100 item is $29 brokerage charge (30% of value!!!)...

I LOVE my book!  I received it on the date it was estimated to come… and was pleasantly surprised that there were no brokerage fees, duty, customs, etc.  I paid only $18 for two, 318 -page books to be sent to me, in BC.  I am now working on another book and everyone I show my books to says they are going to start one too!
