Uploading and ordering problem

I’ve attempted to upload a book containing 328 pages of photos with limited text.  Repeated unsuccessful attempts result in an error code 500.  I’ve disabled my internal firewall and virus software but have the same result.  In a couple of my uploading attempts I’ve made it through the "Connecting to Blurb" portion and moved on to the actual upload process. Unfortunately, after about 30% through,  "process interrupted" message appears.

I’ve put quite a number of hours into this first project and want very much for a successful outcome.  I would greatly appreciate any assistance anyone can provide.  Thanks.

Have you sent a Technical Support Request to Blurb? You can do that here….

Hi Tony….thanks very much for your response to my post.  Yes…I’ve emailed tech support and received a quick reply.  They recommended that I disable my internal firewall and virus protection software.  I did, but I still get a message that says "Unable to upload cover error 500".  I’ve emailed tech support again.  I was hoping a user had a remedied a similar problem.  Appreciate your response very much.  Thanks.  Alan

Hello Ace,

I too experienced this issue, and followed all of Blurb’s recommendations to no avail.  Finally I installed Blurb Booksmart on my laptop (my project was originally done on my desktop computer), imported my project to my laptop, and proceeded to upload 90+ pics with no problems.

I still have no idea why my laptop would allow the upload while my desktop kept cutting it off, but Blurb does recommend that you try the upload from a different location (either different computer or different internet connection).

If you don’t have another option I understand this might not help, but I just wanted to share my experience with you in case it might be helpful.  I sincerely hope you get it working!
