<body>Yes, I think everybody needs to keep in mind the many levels of experience with photos and reproduction needs. I work with Photoshop often and print using a 2400 Epson. I wanted to have a book to accompany a galler show of my photos and I assumed wrongly that my profiles and grayscale images were ready to place in Booksmart and print. The books came back DARK! The color was real nice but my black and whites were bad. I communicated with Blub and got some info and then I went back and readjusted my grayscale images taking some black and midtones out. My second version was nice except for a very noticeable magenta cast throughout the black and white images. I then ordered a larger number of books and before they would even start the printing run they emailed me to doublecheck that I had resolved the "dark" images. I said that I had but was a little concerned about the magenta cast. The said they should be able to correct that. So they are printing them now. I think my first dark book was my mistake not knowing what printer they were using and what profiles I should be using. Now that I have dealt with them and seen some stuff I'm pretty confident. I'll let you know for sure in a few days. I was impressed that they emailed me right after they saw my order come in. That showed that they were aware of my earlier printing issues. Nice touch.</body>

<body>I had something like this happen to me and was totally confused. So I started clicking on the "centering" photo placement icon and the warning sign suddenly disappeared. I don't think it really did anything to the image but it satisfied the Booksmart app.</body>

<body>I ran a "panorama" photo across 2 pages by simply splitting the original file in half in PS and importing each as a full-bleed page. Early proofs looked great - like a normal double truck image. I didn't attempt any overlap at all. Don't see the need if you are running the photo flush against the gutter.</body>
