Sorry. There has been a general decline of this credit card.
Ordering and Shipping

lsachka—this declines is coming from the bank that issued your card…not Blurb. I would recommend following up with your bank and ask why they are declining this transaction.

processing fee every month?
Ordering and Shipping

It is only a one time fee per payment processed…not based on a single month or months accrued. I hope this helps.

You are only charged a processing fee when a payment is processed.

Think i made a mistake with my first UK order :(
Ordering and Shipping

Due to the shipping rate request conducted per order, and all the variables involved in a given request, we are seeing many instances where the ordering of shipping mentods is not consistent. We are working on a way to make the display more consistent and to help provide additional information for each option.

How frequent are SALES updated? Once a week !!??
Ordering and Shipping

It’s a good question…

A "Sale" has two states. The first is "Pending", the state of a Sale while the book is being produced. The second state is "Completed" the state of a Sale when the book has shipped. You will see the Sales of your book/s in one of these two states within the Sales report.

You are only compensated for Completed sales…just as we are. In the rare case the order is canceled while it is in a Pending state this Sale will be removed from the list of Pending Sales and will not count toward your total Completed Sales

Hope this helps…

Book Failed to Turn Up...
Ordering and Shipping

The best way to resolve shipping related issues is to submit an incident to our Order Support teamhttp://www.blurb.com/help/order_support

That said, it is difficult for us to track down a book that was shipped with a non-trackable option. Adding a non-trackable solution in Europe was a hot topic in the forums a few months back and the community overwhelming concluded that they could live with the lack of visibility associated with a non-trackable solution.

For the most part, we have heard positive feedback regarding the Swiss Post. There have been some orders that take longer than anyone had anticipated and for this we will do what we can to assist you. And to your original question, we are always evaluating alternatives….and there are pros and cons with each of them.

Best of luck and be sure and file your incident with the order support team.

Yay for international sales... but a wee question...
General Interest

A couple of questions to address here:

1. PayPal is under review though I am not making any promises for fear to mis-setting expectations. I will only say we are reviewing PayPal and will make a prioritization call, relative to a number of other product deliverables, later in the year.

2. The checks will be in the currency you specify and processed out of our bank in the UK.  Our hope is this will reduce, if not eliminate, most fees.

As always, this type of feedback is appreciated.

credit card payment refused
Ordering and Shipping

I would recommend notifying our Order Support team of your incident.

It is also worth noting, we never decline your card. We simply relay the response provided from your card issuing bank. You may want to follow-up with the bank that supports your card.

Placing a book on Sale
Ordering and Shipping

A good question TVRPhoto…

Your earnings will reflect the then price of that book. Or to put it another way, changing the price of a book will have no impact on prior purchases at the prior price point.

Check out our new shipping calculator
Ordering and Shipping

As mentioned in several other posts, we currently do not have a printer that we are able to integrate with USPS. If it were as simple as flipping a switch we would do so without hesitation. This is something we are actively working on and there is a solution coming soon.

As soon as this is addressed we will communicate it within the forums and blog.

"PRIVATE" BOOKS. HOW CAN I FIND OUT HOW MANY HAVE BEEN ORDERED?
Ordering and Shipping

Apologies for using an acronym. SYP = Set Your Price.

Per the purchase question, have you uploaded multiple copies of the book? The emails may be in reference to a prior version.

Confused.

You are correct in that you will only receive profits from the Set Your Price program when you specify the profit you would like to receive from each book.

There are other variables that come into play and there is a decent chance we are talking about two separate printers.

more blurb holidays coming up
Ordering and Shipping

We’ve factored in the upcoming holidays within the Estimated Ship Date provided.  So for an order placed on December 16, the Estimated Ship Date will be December 26th—six business days after the order was placed as Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are not considered business days.

You are correct in that the queue is full with holiday orders but we are doing all we can to continue to ship books within the five to six business day production estimate.
